The Construction Inspector will monitor the work of contractors to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications for new infrastructure development including water distribution and sanitary sewer collection, pumping and transport systems, storm sewers and stormwater management systems, and roadways.   The Inspector will oversee, inspect, and monitor  field work performed by a contractor or contractors retained by our clients,  which includes excavations, pipelines, manholes, drainage facilities and best management practices for stormwater control, road surfaces, and structures; advise contractors of non-conformance; take field measurements for use in checking as-built drawings prepared by developer; check placement of and observes tests on construction materials and/or constructed facilities; collect material delivery slips; and provide concurrence with changes to construction plans to meet field conditions. The Inspector will also maintains project records which include daily progress reports and materials notebooks.

Required Experience:

Three (3) years of transportation construction inspection experience and a High School Diploma or
Four (4) years of highway/building trades, construction, inspection, or
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

Valid Driver’s License.
PennDOT Experience a plus
