Berwick Test Track Park/Riverfront Trail and Boat Launch
Berwick Borough, Columbia County, PA

Berwick’s Riverfront Trail along the Susquehanna River includes approximately 1 mile of trail from the southwest corner of Test Track Park to the intersection of South Warren Street and Ruhmels Lane, ADA parking and access, a river overlook and a mountain bike skills park.

A major part of the project included boat launch renovations including the installation of a floating dock and improvements to the existing parking area. The floating dock provides a staging area for boats and designed to meet ADA standards. The dock is 5 feet wide and extends 40 feet into the river. An aluminum gangway provides access to the dock.

The access ramp is constructed on the riverbank adjacent to the boat launch. On the top of the bank there is a small overlook area; the ramp extends from this area, cutting back and forth along the bank, down to the low water line. The ramp is constructed with small areas for fishing. The structure itself is concrete built upon a gabion basket wall. The ramp was specially designed to meet ADA standards and will include two ADA van accessible parking spaces.

Visit the River Town Communities along the Susquehanna River and be sure to visit Berwick’s Test Track Park to walk one of the most beautiful trails along the river.
